At SLT we invest heavily in the latest diagnostic, tuning and remapping equipment to enable us to provide you with the best service possible. 

Our investment can also save you money as a by-product of new technical advances is sometimes our ability to complete work a little quicker than previously, so enabling us to always offer value for money by keeping labour costs under control. 

A cornerstone of any of our work from cleaning a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) to completing a remapping is diagnostics; analysing the current ‘state’ or your vehicle and then checking its performance afterwards.

We use sophisticated industry-leading equipment and reinvest regularly in the latest tech, none more so than in the large investment we’ve made in our Dynocom 5000 Series Dynamometer - or ‘rolling road’.

Diagnostic precision

Our Dynocom 5000 is an all wheel drive dynamometer designed to measure all manner of engine performance characteristics. The beauty of using this hardware is it reduces the amount of actual road testing required and provides us with highly accurate findings very quickly so we can do the best job for you.

Our Dynocom 5000 offers the following:

• Can be used to test a multitude of different vehicles whether front, rear or all-wheel drive
• High performance cars can be tested at speeds of up to 175mph
• Measures horsepower and torque outputs at various speeds so we can evaluate and fine tune engine remaps we’ve undertaken
• Diagnose engine and drivetrain problems and general drivability issues
• Can measure acceleration
• Realistic testing of two-wheel drive vehicles in that the none-driven wheels are spun by the rollers at same speed as driven wheels for improved accuracy
